A series of emails obtained by Detroit area attorneys Jeff Frasier and Michael Komoron show marijuana results from the supposedly independent Michigan State Police Crime Lab were being expressly directed by Ken Stecker, who is the traffic safety prosecutor for the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan.

In the attached emails, the issue is whether or not the marijuana sample is grown in the ground or is synthetic. The lab is unwilling to declare marijuana samples either synthetic or naturally occurring because of the lack of the supporting science. However if a marijuana sample could be labeled as synthetic marijuana, then that could mean a higher felony charge by the prosecutor. Ultimately after the lab technicians refused to falsely report a sample as synthetic marijuana, they were directed by the Michigan State Police Captain that the “proper reporting” of THC would be determined by the attorney for the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan.

Read that again: the lab results from the independent Michigan State Police Crime Lab would be determined by a prosecutor irrespective of what the lab technicians declared.

In short, the Michigan State Police Crime Lab and the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan are conspiring to manufacture false evidence to deprive people of their freedom and result false conviction. Documents can be found here.
