The Michigan Medical Marijuana Act was initially approved by voters on November 4, 2008.  The Michigan legislature then passed various statutes and has since amended those statutes to give effect to a Michigan resident’s right to use marijuana for medical purposes.

Additionally, the Michigan Supreme Court and Michigan Court of Appeals have issued multiple opinions interpreting the statutes.  If you have an issue or criminal matter related to medical marijuana, then you should consult an attorney familiar with the nuances of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act and its application under the various judicial cases.
