2013-1205 before the Honorable Judge Daniel L Sutton recentley arraigned the following in 82nd District Cour:

  • 31 year old St. Helen man, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to breaking and entering with intent (amended from second degree home invasion). Dismissed was a charge of safe breaking. Richfield Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was Sept. 30. Bond was set at $25,000. Ballard will be sentenced in Circuit Court. He also demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on a charge of second degree home invasion.  Bond was set at $25,000.
  •  23 year old, Houghton Lake Woman, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where she pleaded guilty to embezzlement by an agent or trustee between $1,000 and $20,000. Bond was set at $5,000 and wiill be sentenced in Circuit Court
  •  18 year old, Houghton Lake man, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on two counts of resisting and obstructing a police officer and two counts of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct.   Bond was set at $45,000.
  • 49 year old, Houghton Lake man, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving without insurance and driving an unregistered vehicle.  Bond was set at $5,000.

The following pleaded guilty to charges filed against them and were sentenced:

  • 26 year old, Prudenville man, impaired driving: $925 in fines, costs or restitution, six months probation and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.
  • 44 year old, Flint man, transporting open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, no valid license in possession and impaired driving: 33 days in jail (credit for 33 days), $1,605 in fines, costs or restitution, 12 months probation and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.
  • 31 year old, Howell man, driving with a suspended or revoked license, first offense, and failure to report a personal injury accident: $760 in fines, costs or restitution and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.
