Judge Daniel L. Sutton recently arraigned the following in 82nd District Court:

  • 26 year old Owosso man, waiveed preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to three counts of possesion of a controlled subsantce (nonnarcotic). State Police, Houghton Lake, made the arrest.
  • 50 year old Schofield, WI man demanded preliminary examination withing 14 days on two charges of concealing motor vehicle ID. Bond qs set at $50,000.
  • 18 year old Houghton Lake man, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to third degree fleeing and eluding and driving with the presence of a controlled substance. Bond was wes set at $10,000.00 and will be sentnenced in Circuit Court.
  • 19 year old Roscommon man, demanded preliminary examination within 14 days on two counts of illegal use of a financial transaction device and one count of illegal possession of a financial transaction device. Bond was set at $10,000.00.

The following pleaded guilty to charges filed against them and were sentenced:

  • 46 year old Flint man, impaired driving: $1,225 in fines, costs or restitution, six months probation and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.
  • 20 year old Alpena man, minor driving with a blood alchol content of between .02 and .07 and improper registrations plates: $740 in fines, costs or restitution, six months probation and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.
  • 20 year old Houghton Lake man, possession of marijuana: 110 days in jail (credit for 110 days and he may receive credit for time served at any prison facility) and 60 days license suspension.
