Judge Michael J. Baumgrtner presided in 34th Circuit Court, Roscommon, June 18, 2013:

  • 29 year old St. Helen man, pleaded guilty to probation violation and he was entenced to 12 months in jail (credit for 268 days). His probation was extended for one year.
  • 46 year old Roscommon man, was ready for trial on four counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of second degree CSC, one count of possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of using a computer to commit a crime, but he subsequently pleaded no constest to one count of first degree CSD. the other charges were dismissed.
  • 39 year old West Branch man, pleaded no contest to felonious assault. Dismissed were charges of first degree home invasion and interfering with electronic communications. He was scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 10.
  • 27 year old Lake City man, was sentenced on a charge of armed robbery to 14 to 30 years in prison (no credit), $200 in fines and costs, a $100 attorney fee and $234.78 in resitution. He was also sentenced on a charge of breaking and entering with intent to three to 10 years in prison (no credit), to be served concurrently, and $4,859 in restitution. He was also ordered to pay $328 in other court assessments.
  • 42 year old St. Helen man, was sentenced on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (nonnarcotic) to nine months in jail (credit for one day), 18 months probation, $400 in fines and costs, a $200 attorney fee and $198 in other court assessments.
  • 18 year old St. Helen man, is charged with 21 counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct. The judge signed orders for a waiver for a speedy trial, a competency examination and criminal resposibilty examination.
  • a 42 year old Grand Blanc man, was sentenced on a charge of impaired driving, third offense, to 10 months in jail (credit for one day), $300 in fines and costs, a $100 attorney fee, a $200 cost of proscution fee and $125 in other court assessments.
  • 26 year old Houghton Lake man , was sentenced on a charge of aggravated stalking to two to seven years, six months in prison (credit for 53 days), $200 in fines and costs, a $100 attorney fee and $198 in other court assessments.
